Broken Star- Sophie on the Sofa
Acrylic on canvas Circa 2005 This painting was completed over the course of winter 2005, when I hosted a friend of a friend on ski vacation in Crested Butte. Sophie was her name and she unfortunately injured her knee and spent her days watching TV and telling me how crazy I was to try and paint lines without a straight edge. Needless to say, I started to believe her as I carefully painted coats of color on this piece. I guess I had somewhat steady hands then...
